Aim high & Pioneer the power that
matters
Period: 18 to 20 month
The programme: This is where your amazing engineering
future begins. Our structured Engineering Graduate Development
Programme has been designed to give you an immersive experience
across a broad range of engineering areas. As well as receiving
first-class training and support, you’ll work alongside and learn
from some of the most respected and highly qualified professionals
in their field. To start with, your focus will be on developing
in-depth knowledge in a specific engineering discipline and a
particular area of the business. From this foundation, you can
start your journey towards becoming a world-class specialist or a
broadly skilled engineer, or developing into a leadership role. The
Engineering Graduate Development Programme in Germany is specific
for AeroEngines.
What you’ll need:
Technical abilities are a must. So you’ll need at least a degree
in an Engineering discipline as Aerospace Engineering or
Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
supported by a strong academic background. A Master degree is
desirable. Just as importantly, you’ll have excellent communication
skills and plenty of initiative. Fluency in English, both spoken
and written, is required. Inquisitive and resourceful, you’ll
always be looking for new ways to make your mark and, because this
is a rotational programme, you’ll be flexible when it comes to
where you’re based. Experience as an intern or a semester abroad is
desirable.
What you’ll do:
You’ll complete four attachments covering the key stages in our
engineering lifecycle: Define, Make and Verify. Each placement will
last for around four months and will see you putting your mind to
work on live projects – it’s an opportunity for you to share your
thinking and test your ideas from the word go. You’ll be solving
problems and getting involved in the design of integrated systems
while keeping an eye on feasibility, customer need and cost.
Everyone on the programme will complete a Design and Make
attachment where you’ll complete a real-life improvement project
with other graduates. As part of a small team, you’ll face up to a
current company challenge or opportunity, and deliver a solution
that offers direct value to a customer. You’ll manage the whole
project from start to finish, evaluating the problem, designing a
solution, making a prototype, verifying that it works and then
planning how to roll it out in the business using project
management and systems engineering tools and techniques.
What you’ll get:
Competitive salary, Bonus schemes, Tax effective share plans,
Numerous sports societies, Group insurance, Capital forming
payments, Joining bonus
