Each of
the 20 trainee positions is unique, linked
to a department within a specific business area and a working
location. This means that each position has its own specific
responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Who are you?
Whether you want a climate smarter career as an energy
specialist, visionary manager or inspirational project lead in the
energy sector, we offer you these possibilities within
the Trainee Programme. We are looking for recent
graduates with an academic agree or students who will graduate
before September 2020. You are fluent in English. Skills
in other world languages can be a merit. Furthermore, you are
willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the
organization. Of course, you identify yourself with our
principles: active, open, positive and safe.
As a Trainee Strategy Analayst you recognize yourself in the
following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Math, Science, Engineering
- Master’s degree preferred related to Energy, Business or
Economics - Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong communication and storytelling and presentation
skills - Team player with strong networking skills and able to
communicate with different stakeholders
What do we expect from you as Trainee Strategy
Analyst
This position is located in the Market Insights Team, within
Strategy & Business Development, which derives quantitative and
qualitative visions of the future energy market, to support
Vattenfall leaders make investment decisions and strategic
analysis. The team are expert energy market analysts and
storytellers that convert deep understanding into decision support
tools. The team shape Vattenfall’s view on the development of the
energy market and by creating scenarios, developing case studies
and executing market deep dives, help Vattenfall decision makers
accelerate our fossil free goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Fundamental analysis of energy markets, systems and related
market drivers - Update and develop assumptions that feed into forecasting
models which create possible future scenarios - Collaborate with experts around Vattenfall and external
consultants to identify and analyse trends that impact the energy
system - Tell the story of the future European energy system including
the main drivers and uncertainties clearly and concisely to
Vattenfall leaders, experts and non-experts alike - Take forward and innovate Market Insights way of analysing and
presenting deliverables on the energy market

workshops and site visits during the seminar weeks. You will have
