Data Center Coordinator (f/m/d) (Frankfurt)

Field of activity
IT Infrastructure & Operations ensures the implementation and
operation of shared technological IT infrastructure for all
companies of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG). This includes e.g. the
operation of Data Centres, Networks, Storage, Backup, and the
central provisioning of ITSM processes for all IT units.

Within IT Infrastructure & Operations department, the
Data Centre Management team is responsible for the compliance and
high available of time critical data centers housing DBG’s
applications and network infrastructure. The team ensures the high
performance and success of our data center services through our
highly skilled and experienced team members acting as a
professional and reliable service provider for our internal
customers and stakeholders.

We are now looking for a colleague to join our team who
will take the lead in coordinating all Data Centre Management
related processes, including service request and asset management,
logistics as well as provider management. The successful candidate
with help to ensure compliance to the high requirements of the
regulated financial industry, supporting the team by ensuring
standards are maintained and during audit activities.
This role requires a strong experience in Data Centre Management
combined with flexibility and a willingness to work outside normal
business hours. There will also be a requirement to travel between
our Data Centers in the Frankfurt region and occasionally to
support works in our international Data Center and office
locations.

Tasks/responsibilities

• Manage Data Center Management (DCM) tasks, activities and
  support all related onsite processes
• Coordinate and perform adds (including receiving
  deliveries), moves and changes in data centers with service
  providers, dc-operators and internal customers plus maintaining
  data center documentation with FNT Command
• Support continuous improvement of DCM processes and
  procedures e.g. for asset management, infrastructure service
  requests and provider/3rd party management.
• Support activities to ensure Data Center Management
  compliance, e.g. for audits, risk assessments, conformity
  checks.
• Work as part of 24×7 on-call rota
  requirements
• Support planning and review activities around data center
  resources and capacity
• Plan, coordinate and perform cabling works in Data Center
  locations as well as in office buildings

Qualifications/required skills

• Relevant studies or Data Center work
  experience
• Good knowledge of data center related technologies such
  as networking and data center topologies, active/passive
  engineering and IT infrastructure
• Experience in performing and coordinating IT cabling
  works in high availability, time critical Data Center
  environments
• Experience in performing and improving data center
  related management processes and procedures
• Strong Communication skills, team orientated philosophy,
  a willingness to learn and proven problem-solving
  skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
  while maintaining commitment to deadlines
• High level of integrity and discretion
• Highly motivated, organized individual who can work
  effectively with minimal supervision
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook e-mail for
  Business purposes
• Languages: Business level English and German language
  skills are required
